Welcome to M&E Institute, a professional services firm that specializes in monitoring and evaluation. Since our establishment in 2010, we have been working with a diverse range of clients from the public, private, donor, and non-governmental sectors to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programs using simple methodologies and practical tools.

Who We Are

Monitoring & Evaluation Institute is a leading research, evaluation, and advisory organization established in 2010, CAC registration number RC 892422, United State DUNS number 561294608, and VAT/TIN number 17645115-0001, with operational presence in Nigeria, and footprints in several West Africa countries. We specialize in large-scale data collection, digital survey deployment, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), impact evaluations, systems strengthening, and capacity development. Our experience spans peace building, livelihood, WASH, governance, MSME finance, public sector reform, social protection, health, education, ICT, and agriculture programs.

We design and implement end-to-end data-gathering operations using digital tools (Kobo, ODK), ensuring high-quality fieldwork, verification protocols, analytics, and reporting. We train institutions to collect data, implement projects, enhance visibility, media engagement, strategic communication and data analytics through evidence-based storytelling, strategic communication planning, and stakeholder-focused messaging for policy influence.

Our recent work includes training over 100 ECOWAS staff on Project Management and M&E, and serving as a technical partner to PwC on several assignments, collecting and validating results across states, including conflict-prone locations (Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Katsina etc.). We supported Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) in Data Collection and evaluation on its Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) and beneficiaries across Nigeria under a World Bank supported program for 3 years consecutively. We also collaborated PwC to conduct evaluation of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Program in Nigeria and Mali, while supporting TGSN with media monitoring and longitudinal studies across the North-East and neighboring countries (Niger, Chad and Cameroon).

We are the leading organization in M&E Systems strengthening the Federal Government of Nigeria and several States (e.g. National M&E Department and Delta State Government). With committed lean staffing and a database of over 400 trained field researchers, data analysts, evaluation specialists and communication experts we can deploy to any State of Nigeria timely. The Institute supports rapid deployment, large sample surveys, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and training delivery. M&E Institute have been building the capacity of ECOWAS on Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation for several years.
